Booking Client (Renderer) API Changes - v1.74.0
Package: @seatmap.pro/renderer
Release Date: 2026-10-07
Seat metadata
The data manager returned by renderer.getDataManager() exposes getSeatMetadata(seatId) and getAllSeatMetadata(sectionId?). These methods now return the configured row and seat labels. Both fields remain optional: a chart without a label returns undefined. An unknown seat still returns null from getSeatMetadata; the bulk method returns an array.
The signatures and metadata field types are unchanged. Consumers that substituted their own labels because these values were absent should review that fallback when upgrading. Issue: SEAT-1246.
General admission
Clearing the selected general-admission section removes its bullet immediately and leaves cart quantities unchanged. This change covers visual selection; it does not introduce new selection getters or events. General-admission titles also render without an SVG underlay. Issues: SEAT-1093, SEAT-1253.
Constrained backgrounds
On the WebGL raster path with gpuTier: 'constrained', a background without detail tiles stays on its preview image. The renderer does not decode the full image to generate a detail crop on that path. Tiled backgrounds retain bounded zoom detail; the high tier retains its full-image fallback. SVG rendering and the Canvas2D fallback retain their existing loading behavior. No host setting change is required, but preview-only charts show less background detail when zoomed. Issue: SEAT-1220.
Automatic tier detection and the gpuTier override remain available. Check the constrained path on the physical devices used by your audience, including an iPhone; desktop emulation does not establish device memory behavior.
Embedded editor option
draft=true is an Editor URL option, separate from the renderer SDK. It preserves the draft state on Save, including when pricing tools are hidden. With hideNavbar=true&draft=true, publishing controls remain available. Omitting it preserves the existing behavior, and supplying it does not turn an already published chart into a draft. Issue: SEAT-1228.
